Electrical Transformer and it's Functions

1. Transformer Core
- Function of Transformer Core acts as support to the winding in the transformer also provide Path of electrical flux

2. Transformer Winding -

A. Primary winding is  used to produce flux
B. Secondary winding is used to produce electricity by cutting the flux produced by primary winding

3. Transformer Tank - Transformer Oil Tank is used to contain the Transformer oil and protect the Core And Winding from outer conditions like lightning, dust, rain etc.

4. Terminal and Bushing - Conservator tank allow the Transformer oil to expand and contract as the temperature varies.

5. Conservator Tank - Conservator tank allow the Transformer oil to expand and contract as the temperature varies.

6. Buchholz Relay - Buchholz Relay is used to sense the faults occurring inside the transformer. It is a simple relay that is operated by the gases emitted during the putrefaction of transformer oil during internal faults.

7. Breather - The breather acts like as air filter for the transformer and controls the moisture level inside a transformer.

8. Explosion Valve -

9. OTI  –  Oil Temperature Indicator

10. WTI  - Winding Temperature Indicator
